Telltale signs: water standing more than a day after rain, soggy spots that never firm up, moss or bare patches in low areas, mulch washing out of beds, or water pooling near your foundation. If you are seeing any of these, get it assessed. Drainage problems only get more expensive with time.

A gravel-filled trench with a perforated pipe at the bottom that collects subsurface water and carries it to a safe exit point: a lower area, a pop-up emitter, or daylight. It is the workhorse solution for chronically wet lawns in clay soil like ours.

There is trenching involved, but a professional install should not leave a war zone. We cut clean lines, preserve and replace sod where possible, and leave the surface graded and seeded so the repair disappears within weeks.

Sometimes regrading is genuinely the right answer, and when it is, we will tell you, because it is often the cheaper fix. But filling a low spot without addressing where the water goes usually just moves the puddle. That is why every drainage project starts with a proper assessment, free of charge.
